Dear Readers,

We are entering the New Year together for the second time now, which is why I would like to wish Estate magazine to have an even better year than the last one and to bring its readers ever better and more interesting information. We are going to try again in this issue.

The end of a year and the beginning of a new one always makes people eager to hold various polls on the last year’s best successes, best films, most embarrassing situations, etc. People love ratings. You are compared to the neighbours’ kids the moment you are born, then teachers rate you against your schoolmates, and finally the boss compares you with your workmates; I’m sure you know all this and remember how awkward it feels, because there are things that just don’t compare. Yet there will always be a few individuals who are better than others and stand out. ESTATE, a magazine on real estate and exclusive living, could not help bringing an overview of the last year’s ten best development projects. I repeat ten best, for we have decided not to pronounce an absolute winner. We will leave that up to your own decision based on your taste, just as you choose the other best things in your lives – the best film, partner, workmates, meals, etc., the list may go on forever. And after all, why not? There is a whole new year ahead and so much time to do what you like best.
