November 2009

I never liked autumn. I began to get nervous in September, expecting it come again. But hard as I tried to push it off, it got me every year as usual of course. And so I got up in the dark every morning, teeth clenched, trying to muster a bit of a good mood. But then I made for the street, and there it was again: people wrapped in cloaks, a grey sky, and mud.

That is why I decided this year not to ruin my autumn and to enjoy it right as I do the other periods. Maybe you’ll find this crazy, but I set out for the Šumava with some friends. Perhaps you think, what should we be doing in the mountains in autumn? But I must say, I haven’t had a better trip in a long time. Firstly, I had never been to the Šumava before, and secondly, I must admit that autumn nature showed us so much that the National Theatre would be ashamed. The woods were beginning to take on beautiful colours, and everywhere was calm and quiet. We did not meet a single person all the way. After the hill walk, we sipped hot tea in the evening and felt good.

I hope you too are enjoying the bad weather and the cold, because this period has its unique magic that even I have finally discovered this autumn. And may your reading about the news in the world of real estate, housing and design in the ESTATE magazine be pleasant moments to you.
